Don’t Play the Fool – Proverbs 30:32

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Proverbs 30:32
If you have played the fool and exalted yourself, or if you have planned evil, clap your hand over your mouth!

Notice we are informed to clap our hands over our mouth if we have done these things. Meaning, stop it right then. Don’t say another word. No matter how far you may be into doing these things, stop it. Don’t let another day go by where you continue in these things.

Everyday that you continue in them, the harder it will be in breaking away from them. It’s like this. Have you tried breaking thread with your fingers? It’s relatively easy, right? However, the more thread that you wrap around your fingers the harder it is to break it. Eventually, you will not be able to break it, even though it’s just thread.

So don’t let another day go by where you persist in these things. They will only hurt yourself in the long run. Humility is the best way. It’s not the popular way, but it’s the best way.

32 If you have played the fool and exalted yourself, or if you have planned evil, clap your hand over your mouth!

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
