Speak Up – Proverbs 31:8-9

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Proverbs 31:8-9
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.

Everyone is quick to speak up for their own rights, but how quick are they to speak up for the rights of others? Normally, no one wants to get involved in issues that don’t involve them. Yet, when they have issues, they want others to come to their aid in some kind of way. It’s much like what we find in Proverbs 21:3

Proverbs 21:13
If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered.

Do you live your life only for your own interests? For only that which concerns you? Are you willing to give of yourself for others? I’m talking about for those who may have no friends. Who have no one to come to their aid.

Be mindful in how you focus your life. Yeshua said…

Luke 6:31
Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
