Watch Out – Proverbs 22:3

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Proverbs 22:3
A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.

This verse can be taken in so many ways. Physically, spiritually, socially, financially, you name it. So the question is, “Do you take refuge when you see danger?” The physical is obvious. When we see something that can physically harm us, we take refuge by avoiding it. However, what about Spiritually? Do you take refuge when you see danger or do you think you can take it on?

What about socially, financially, or any other way you can think of? The verse says the prudent sees danger. If your not looking for it, it can easily slip under the radar. This reminds me of the story of Gideon.

YHWH told Gideon to separate the men who lap water with their tongues like a dog from those who bend with one knee to get a drink. Only those who positioned themselves to be aware of their surroundings were kept. The others made themselves oblivious to their surroundings and were told to go home. Don’t be oblivious to your surroundings. Be mindful and watchful.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
