Broken Walls – Proverbs 25:28

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Proverbs 25:28
Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control.

Wow. What a statement. If the walls of a city are broken down, it’s susceptible to invasion. The first line of defense is completely made void. Yet a person who lacks self control is likened as the same.

Do you lack self control? Oh, you might have self control in this area of your life or in that area of your life, but those might be the area’s that come naturally to you. What about the areas that don’t come naturally? If you don’t have self control, the enemy is able to walk right in with no resistance at all. You’re virtually a setting duck.

Self control. It’s the ability to control ones self in every area of your life. Otherwise, you don’t have self control. The front and side walls of a city can be massively thick and completely impenetrable. However, if the back wall is only a picket fence, does it matter how strong the other walls are? Do you really think the enemy will attack the strong walls knowing about the picket fence?

So how is your self control?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout today. Until next time. Shalom
