Remember Noah – Genesis 6:22

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Genesis 6:22
Noah did everything just as God commanded him.

It seems many of us don’t really think much about this statement. It’s almost as if we glaze right over it. Let’s think about it for a moment. It says he did everything YHWH commanded him. Everything. Now remember, that “everything” included building a huge boat for a hundred years. A hundred years. That’s longer than the vast majority of people live today let alone pursue and obey. So he obeyed YHWH in doing everything He told him longer than we will even live. Let that sink in for a second.

Now of course, we can say the people lived longer back then. Absolutely. That’s true. Yet, even still, that doesn’t belittle the fact that Noah was faithful to YHWH for all those years. Do you seek that kind of faithfulness? How do you respond when YHWH tells you to do something? When He tells you to do something, do you do it or do you complain in saying it’s too big? Do you complain in saying it’ll take too long? If so, remember Noah.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
