Misled – 1 Corinthians 15:33

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

1 Corinthians 15:33
Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”

What a statement. One I believe we may not take seriously enough. “Bad company corrupts good character.” I’ve heard the phrase “You can find the good and bad in almost any crowd.” Sometimes I think there can be some truth in that statement.

Many times we may think we know the character of someone but then as time continues, you may find that character is nothing close to what you thought it was. It’s almost like buying a book by it’s cover. It may look good on the outside, but once you open it up, the real story comes out.

While I’m all about being kind and friendly to someone, that doesn’t mean I want to make everyone a close friend. There’s a difference between being friendly to someone and being friends with someone. A friend is someone you let into your life. They can influence you in more ways than you can imagine. So who are we letting into our lives? Remember, “Bad company corrupts good character.”

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
