Blessing or Curse – Deuteronomy 11:26

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Deuteronomy 11:26
See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse — 27 the blessing if you obey the commands of YHWH your God that I am giving you today; 28 the curse if you disobey the commands of YHWH your God and turn from the way that I command you today by following other gods, which you have not known.

If you’ve ever heard someone talk about the curse of the Law, well, here it is. The curse of the Law actually comes from disobeying the Law. Yet, blessings are promised if we choose to obey the Law. I have said it MANY times before and I’ll say it again. Obedience to the Law is the fruit of your salvation, not the root of your salvation.

Obedience doesn’t save you. Yet, it shows you are desiring to submit to our Father in Heaven. Just as any parent expects their children to obey the house rules, YHWH expects His children to do the same. Everyday we are faced with the choice to obey or reject His law. Obedience or disobedience. Blessing or curse.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
