Purpose – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

2 Corinthians 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

I love this verse. The Father comforts us in our troubles so we can be a comfort to others when they go through the same thing. So the next time you go through hard times, remember, chances are, you’re going through them so you can be an encouragement to others when they go through it. Don’t make yourself an island. Be there for others. You never know, there may come that time when the Father will bring your comfort through someone else.

We can’t live our lives only for ourselves. We are the Body of Messiah. We need one another. Just as much as you want comfort from YHWH in your difficult times, let him comfort others through you. It doesn’t take much. But it starts with you saying “Yes.”

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
