Presentation – 1 Corinthians 13:2

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

1 Corinthians 13:2
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

OK. True story here. I literally just got off of a FB conversation where a guy was declaring a certain view of the scriptures as a “reprehensible doctrine, therefore we know it is not of Him”. He was condemning anyone who held to this doctrine. As I sat there just looking at his words, I couldn’t help but wonder how a believer could just condemn another believer the way he did.

Don’t get me wrong, the guy may have been 100% correct on his understanding of this “reprehensible doctrine”. Yet, he had no love whatsoever in his deliverance. He had only condemnation for anyone who disagreed with him.

I truly felt he was the epitome of what this verse is saying. He may truly fathom the mystery and knowledge of that particular doctrine. But it was very evident he struggled with the love.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
