No Love – 1 Corinthians 13:1

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

1 Corinthians 13:1
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

How many times have we heard this mentioned? Yet, how often do we really stop to ponder it? Think of it this way. Talented musicians are fun to sit back and listen to. However, a “not so talented” musician is not as nearly as fun to listen to. In fact, the lesser the talent in the musician, the faster the crowd will disperse. Then, if you have an individual who is just learning an instrument, well, it’s best if they stay behind closed doors until they have matured in that skill.

Why? Because that which they present is, well, let’s just say “Not inviting”. This is exactly what Paul is telling us here in 1 Corinthians. No matter what you have, or think you have, if it’s not presented in love, it will not be inviting to others. In fact, you will only make others flee from you because of your presentation. So are you making others run from the message?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
