The Law – Romans 7:12

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Romans 7:12
So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good.

First, in case you didn’t notice, this is a New Testament verse. That’s right. Paul is declaring the Law to be holy, righteous and good. Though many would say following the law today is something that puts you under a curse and will even bring condemnation on you, Paul is saying quite the opposite.

Yeshua followed the Law and never said one word to say that the Law was going to be irrelevant to those after Him. In fact, He said quite the opposite. In Matthew 23, He tells His disciples to follow Moses. So, if His death on the cross was going to do away with the Law, why would he say anything about following Moses at the close of His ministry on earth?

How do you view the Law? Do you see it as Paul did? As holy, righteous and good. Do you follow the words Yeshua spoke to His disciples to follow Moses? Consider carefully the path you choose.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
