Clear Conscience – Acts 24:16

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Acts 24:16
So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man.

Interesting isn’t it? Paul strived to keep his conscience clear before YHWH and man. But why? Why before YHWH and man? Why not just YHWH? Why was Paul also concerned about having his conscience clear before men? Well, I can’t tell you for sure. However, here are my thoughts. I personally believe it was because Paul knew our love to both sums up the Law and the prophets.

To love YHWH and to love man. If this is what we are going to be judged on, it only makes sense that Paul would strive to keep his conscience clear on these. That being said, where do you stand with keeping your conscience clear before men? How have you treated others? Have you treated others with disrespect? When we stand before YHWH, will there be legitimate claims against you from others in how you treated them? In how you talked to them? In how you talked about them? When you stand before YHWH, will you have a clear conscience before God and men?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
