What People See – Genesis 26:28

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Genesis 26:28
They answered, “We saw clearly that YHWH was with you; so we said, ‘There ought to be a sworn agreement between us’ – between us and you. Let us make a treaty with you…”

They saw that YHWH was with Isaac. In fact, that’s why they drove Isaac away from them. They saw YHWH’s favor on him in everything he did.

The question we need to ask ourselves is if people see that YHWH is with us? If so, how? If not, why not? Whether we want to admit it or not, people are watching. Always watching. What are we showing them? What do people see when they look at us?

Do people see the hand of the Father on you? Do they see His hand in your children? If they do, their response may not be much different from how people treated Isaac. They pushed him away. Peoples responses will vary. Some will want what you have. Some may get jealous at you. Regardless of their response, the question remains. Do people see that YHWH is with you?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
