Your Choice – 1 Corinthians 4:21

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

1 Corinthians 4:21
What do you prefer? Shall I come to you with a whip, or in love and with a gentle spirit?

Well, these are definitely some straight words from Paul. The context just before these words is where Paul is saying that there are some arrogant people in the fellowship of Corinth. He tells them that, Lord willing, he will be visiting. And then, as our text says, he gives them a choice in what attitude he should appear to them when he comes. They had the option to determine what his attitude would be towards them.

Now, that all being said, what is your attitude like today? How do you approach others? In arrogance? Or in humility? No. Paul won’t be showing up. However, one day, Yeshua will. When he appears, what will His attitude be towards you. We have the opportunity right now to remove every form of pride in our life. Every form. If we don’t, what attitude should we expect from our savior? Will it be one of love or reprimand?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
