Perspective – Psalm 94:1-4

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Psalm 94:1
O YHWH, the God who avenges, O God who avenges, shine forth. 2 Rise up, O Judge of the earth; pay back to the proud what they deserve. 3 How long will the wicked, O YHWH, how long will the wicked be jubilant? 4 They pour out arrogant words; all the evildoers are full of boasting.

Many use this verse as a prayer when they are going through hard times. When they feel they have been wronged. Yet, how often have we read this verse from the other perspective? Meaning, how often have you considered yourself as the one who might be judged? There are several adjectives that are given here as to who will be judged.

The proud, wicked, arrogant, evil doers and those who boast. Now, I can’t think of anybody who thinks of themselves in the light of these attributes. Everybody thinks these are attributes to other people. The question is, do other people think of you with these attributes? If others think of you like that, could YHWH? If so, where would that put you in this verse?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
