Luke 9:23 – Daily (July 22)
Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Friday. July 22nd. The 6th day of the Hebraic week.
Our verse today is Luke 9:23.
Then he said to them all: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
Well, here is a familiar verse that most all of us have heard more than once in our life. Yet, how often do we “take up our cross”? Yeshua said that we must do so daily if we are going got follow Him. I have heard people say that though they hope they would never have to die for their faith, they know they could. But can we die to our pride?
We all have heard how we are to be growing in the Lord. And we should be. But what does that mean to you? What if YHWH tells you to ask for forgiveness from an individual that you offended years ago. Could you do that? What if it was an individual that you spiritually stabbed in the back and they don’t even know it? Could you obey him in that?
When He pricks your heart, you have to answer. It’s not a one time thing. Remember, we are to die to ourselves daily.
