Luke 4:1 – Following the Spirit (March 27)

Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Sunday. March 27th. The 1st day of the Hebraic week. Our verse today is Luke 4:1.

Luke 4:1
Yeshua, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the desert,

All my life I have heard how we are to be led by the Holy Spirit. Here we see that the Spirit actually led Yeshua into the desert. Listen to the following verse to find out what for.

2 where for forty days He was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.

He was led by the Spirit to be tested. Obviously the Spirit did not do the tempting, yet the Spirit clearly led Him there. There are times in our life when we are to prove our selves. To withstand the test so we can move forward in the plans that YHWH has for us.

There’s not one prophet or patriarch that didn’t go through hard times or temptations. We all have to face those times in our lives. They are there for multiple reasons. Yet they make us stronger. They get our focus on YHWH. They show us that we need Him in our life.

Following the Spirit is not designed to give you goose bumps. Following the Spirit is to make is the men and women He has called us to be. Are you willing to follow the Spirit? Even if He leads you into hard times?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
