2 Wrongs – 1 Thessalonians 5:15

1 Thessalonians 5:15
Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.

OK. There it is. Don’t pay back anyone wrong for wrong. We’ve all heard it said, “Two wrongs don’t make a right.” Now, is that easy? Of course not. Why? Because it goes against our human nature. It goes against our pride. But we aren’t called to walk in pride. We are called to walk in humility. We are called to walk in Him.

But then we’re told not only to not payback someones’ wrong, but we’re also told to always be kind to each other. Always. And then he says “and to everyone else.” Well, that pretty much dissolves the debate of “Who is my neighbor?” Simply put, it’s everyone else.

When someone does you wrong, what do you do? The natural thing is to immediately plan retaliation. But are we to walk in the natural or supernatural?
