Reverence – Hebrews 5:7

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Hebrews 5:7
During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.

Does anything stand out to you in this verse? Let me read it again.

Hebrews 5:7
“During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. “

I don’t know about you, but the words “he was heard because of his reverent submission.” shouts loud and strong to me. The Greek here actually says reverence. So it’s because of His reverence that He was heard. This is talking about Yeshua. The Son of God.

Now think about it, If the son of God was heard because of His reverence, how much more do you think we should have reverence? That being said, do you have reverence? When it comes to the things of YHWH and living this life for Him, do you have pride, arrogance, condescending attitudes towards others? Or reverence?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
