Worth it – 2 Chronicles 20:24-26

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

2 Chronicles. 20:24-26
When the men of Judah came to the place that overlooks the desert and looked toward the vast army, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground; no one had escaped. So Jehoshaphat and his men went to carry off their plunder, and they found among them a great amount of equipment and clothing and also articles of value – more than they could take away. There was so much plunder that it took three days to collect it. On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Beracah, where they praised YHWH. This is why it is called the Valley of Beracah to this day.

Here we see that not only can praise bring victory, but it can truly bring unexpected blessings just the same. The thing I love the most about this part of the story is how it shows they come back to the same place to give Him praise when it was all said and done.

How often have we given YHWH praise out of emotion in the heart of the moment? That’s when it’s easy. Right? Yet, once the dust settled, they all came Back and gave Him praise again. I truly think that is so cool. It all started out with a sacrifice of praise. Meaning, it was hard to give Him praise because of their circumstances. However, because of their faithfulness in that, they were able to come back and give Him Praise out a heart of thanksgiving.

So remember, giving praise may not always be easy. But in the end, it’s always worth it.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
