Don’t be Afraid – 2 Kings 6:16

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

2 Kings 6:16
“Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

For the sake of context, lets read the surrounding verses to understand this situation better.

2 Kings 6:15-17
When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh, my lord, what shall we do?” the servant asked. “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, “O YHWH, open his eyes so he may see.” Then YHWH opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

This is an excellent reminder that we’re in a spiritual battle. It’s so easy to forget that. All we see and mostly experience is the physical.

If we saw the Spiritual warfare going on around us every day, how would we live differently? Now, if you believe this event from 2 Kings is true, what changes should you be making in your life?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
