Not of the World – John 15:19

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

John 15:19
“If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own. But you are not of the world, since I have chosen you out of the world; therefore the world hates you.”

Does the world love you as its own? Does it hate you as it’s enemy? Maybe it doesn’t love you, but Yeshua implied to His disciples the world hated them.

So, does the world hate you? Does it accept you in any way? If it accepts us, maybe we need to reevaluate how we’re living. Maybe it’s time to reconsider things we may be accepting from the world as being OK? Could the reason why the world doesn’t hate us is because we accept much of what the world gives?

Yet, if we reject the ways of the world, it wouldn’t take long for us to stand apart. If we took a stand that opposes what the world represents, well, wouldn’t that be a declaration of opposition? In making such a stance, it would only make sense for the world to eventually hate us.

This all being said, the question ever stands before us. “Does the world hate you?”

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
