Everyday – Psalms 119:105

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Psalms 119:105 [Nun]
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

This verse is a reminder showing just how important the word of YHWH really is. It gives us light. It enables us to see around us so we can see where we are and what we’re doing. Ever walk down a path way in complete darkness?

True story here. Every evening we used to have to put our chickens up. One evening I got to it too late so I had to take a flashlight. I took a new one we’ve had for about a month. On my way back to the house the flashlight’s battery went dead. I mean dead. It didn’t fade down like normal flashlights. It just went dead in an instant. I’ve never had that happen before. It was cloudy so there was no stars or moon. It was dark. Thankfully I had my little back up flash light in my pocket to get me back. It got me thinking though.

How much of the word do we have? Are we running on Yesterdays “power”? How long will it last you? It was a reminder that we need to get into the word everyday. Everyday.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
