Suddenly Destroyed – Proverbs 29:1

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Proverbs 29:1
A man who remains stiff-necked after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed – without remedy.

This verse actually reminds me of Pharaoh. Everyone talks about how YHWH hardened his heart, and this is true. However, many forget that Pharaoh hardened his heart many times on his own at first.

YHWH gave him the chance to choose wisely several times. But after so many chances, YHWH may not give you that chance anymore. He may solidify that choice that you keep choosing.

Even after the last plague and the Israelites were all gone, we see that YHWH hardens Pharaoh’s heart one last time. And I say “last” because that was when he died.

Exodus 14:17-18
I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them. And I will gain glory through Pharaoh and all his army, through his chariots and his horsemen. The Egyptians will know that I am YHWH when I gain glory through Pharaoh, his chariots and his horsemen.

The bottom line here is, Don’t stay stiff-necked to YHWH.

Proverbs 29:1
A man who remains stiff-necked after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed – without remedy.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
