Uphold – Romans 3:31

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Romans 3:31
Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.

Paul said we are to uphold the law. He said the law is not nullified by faith. Many believe Paul’s writings say the exact opposite. Paul’s writings have been confusing to many people over the years. Even Peter said they were hard to understand. Yet, this is a verse that many like to look over and pay no attention to. Why? Because it doesn’t fit their paradigm in how to understand Paul’s words. So, in order to keep their understanding of the law being done away with, they have to ignore these words of Paul.

Yet, when we think about it, these words of Paul matches what Yeshua said to His disciples in Matthew 23:1-3. That’s when Yeshua told His disciples to obey the Pharisees when they teach the law given through Moses. We can’t forget that Paul himself came from the Pharisees. So he knew the law. So the law is to be upheld. Not abolished. Not done away with. Upheld.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
