Precious Moments – Psalm 119:71-72

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Psalm 119:71-72
It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees. The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.

Have you ever considered your afflictions as something good? Maybe afterwards but hardly ever while we’re going through them. Right? Sometimes it’s just downright difficult to focus on the good of a situation when that situation is showing itself as nothing but bad. Yet, when the dust settles and the air has cleared, we’re able to see the good from that hard time. There may be many times when the only good that comes from a hard time is how we are brought to our knees and realize our true need for Him in our life.

It’s in those moments when our eyes see how His word is what we have needed all along in our life. It’s in those moments we see the true value of His word. It’s in those moments we learn to begin to shed everything that simply doesn’t matter. Moments we should never forget.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
