Don’t be Counterproductive – James 5:19-20

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

James 5:19-20
My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.

There is a difference between wandering from the truth and rejecting the truth. Those who reject the truth are doing just that. Rejecting it. You can’t force feed someone. However, if someone has wandered from the truth, how are you reaching out to them?

To make my point, just last night one of our cats got out of the house. He was roaming around the opened garage door. What would have been the best way to bring him back? Should I have just started yelling at him telling him what a stupid cat he was for walking out of the house? If I did that, would he come back or run away?

See the point? The manner in how we do things makes a difference. Make sure your efforts aren’t counter productive. Don’t be the cause of someone rejecting the truth.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
