We Are Family – Mark 3:31-35

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Mark 3:31-35
Then Jesus’ mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him. A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, “Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you.” “Who are my mother and my brothers?” he asked. Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”

Family. For some, that word doesn’t mean too much. For others, it means everything. It’s hard for some to place a high value on family when they feel they’re family situation is not very inviting. This also applies for many regarding YHWH as our Heavenly father. It’s hard to imagine YHWH as a loving father if your earthly father didn’t give that example.

Yet, Yeshua said that whoever does God’s will is his brother and sister and mother. His family. That’s what we’re supposed to be. A loving family. A caring family. A family that looks out for one another. What kind of family member are we?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
