The Prize or Applause – 1 Corinthians 9:24

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

1 Corinthians 9:24
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

You know what kind of race you’re running. No matter how much a person may try to cover it up, deep down, they will always know.

Being sold out or giving it all you have to a cause or a ministry is one thing, but that doesn’t mean you are sold out or giving your all to your relationship with YHWH. On the outside, everything can be looking good. All the while the inside can be a different story. That doesn’t mean that everything is wrong. But, there can be things in our life we know YHWH has pricked our heart on. If we don’t address those things, who are we really running for?

Let’s not let ourselves get so busy in the work God that we forget the God of the work. What we look like to others should be completely irrelevant to us. The only thing that should be driving us is this race is that YHWH knows we are running. Run in such a way as to get the prize, not the applause.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
