Jan. 4

Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Monday January 4th. The 2nd day of the Hebraic week.

Our verse today is 1 Cor. 15:58

1 Cor. 15:58
Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Stand firm. A phrase I’m sure we could agree is easier said than done. He then says to let nothing move us. Have you ever had something happen in your life that just shook your faith? Or maybe had a disappointment from someone in the faith. Did you let it move you? Or did you stay faithful to the Father?

After being encouraged to let nothing move us, we are then told to always give ourselves fully to the work of the Lord. So, do you? Do you make it a point to work for the Father everyday? Do you seek out where He could use you for His kingdom? Regardless of what you believe your talents may or may not be, He can and will use you if you make yourself available to Him.

Look at the last part of the verse again. “because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” Please know that you can do many things “for” the Lord, but only that which is done “in” the Lord will remain.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
