Jan. 25

Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Monday. January 25th. The 2nd day of the Hebraic week.

Our verses today is Mark 1:16-18.

Mark 1:16
As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 17 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” 18 At once they left their nets and followed him.

Chances are, if you’re listening to this devotion, you are a follower of Yashua. You have chosen to make yourself a disciple under His teachings. You are wanting to learn and grow in His ways.

It’s in these verses that we see those who choose to follow Yashua are to be fishers of men. Yashua said that if they followed Him that this is what He would make them. So our ultimate goal is to be fishers of men. To learn how to reach out to men the way that He did.

Yashua knew all the answers, yet He never tried to force His way on people. He reached out to them with the truth in love. May we never forget that we are called to reach out to people. We are called to be the example. May we never forget that our job is to reach out to others in love in hopes that they will see.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
