Jan. 11

Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Monday January 11th. The 2nd day of the Hebraic week.

Our verse today is 1 Cor. 10:12, 13

12 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! 13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Well, if you have fallen to a sin, let’s call it like it is… the Devil didn’t make you do it.

Please know that verse 12 here should not be looked over too quickly. Look at it again …

12 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!

Let’s not forget that we’re human. We have a flesh that wants to stray away and enjoy sin. It’s a constant battle. So don’t let yourself get relaxed in the fight. We have to be on high alert 24/7.

But we have verse 13 to remind us that we are not alone in this war. Everything we are struggling with and fighting against, our brothers and sisters around the world are going through the same the conflicts. What’s even better is that we know that YHWH will not let us be tempted beyond our capacity to overcome. He will always make a way for us to stand up under the
pressure.

The bottom line here… Don’t forget what we’re in. … A war zone.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
