Jan. 10

Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Sunday January 10th. The 1st day of the Hebraic week.

Our verse today is Luke 12:48

Luke 12:48
But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.

OK. This is one of those verses that should make all of us say “Oh my goodness.” If we claim we know the truth, we are accountable to that truth. And the more we know, the more we are accountable. The more that we are given, the more that is demanded of us. Yeshua said it right here.

We can’t walk through everyday thinking that everything is about us. We can’t live our life thinking we are entitled to this or that. Aren’t we to focus our lives on living for Him? Knowing that we belong to Him, what should our attitude be?

He has given us much, therefore much will be required of us. Don’t let this world trick you into thinking you “deserve” something. Let’s let the Father decide that on His timing. Until then, let’s focus our lives what the Father is asking of us, even demanding of us. Again, our verse…

Luke 12:48
But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
