Feb 27

Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Saturday. February 27th. The 7th day of the Hebraic week. And everyone says, HalleluYah.

Our verse today is 1 Thessalonians 5:18.

18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Continuing from verse 17 yesterday, today we see that we are to give thanks in all circumstances.

Giving thanks. We’ve all heard it said before, and it really is true, there is always something to be thankful for. Even when things aren’t going as planned or even if they are going down right bad, we are to give thanks in those circumstances.

I know, I know, another one of those verses where it seems so much easier said than done. Yet, it’s in those times that may be difficult in our lives that we have to remember that we aren’t living “our” life. We are living His life that He graciously gave to us to live for Him.

As we have mentioned before, when we pray for His will to be done in our lives, we have to trust Him in that. We can’t pray for His will to be done only to constantly be pursing our own will in this life. If we do that, one of two things may end up happening. 1) We will be constantly fighting Him for control in our life. Or, 2) He will eventually give in to our desires, regardless of what we may be saying in our prayers and let us have our way in our lives.

So the question is, do you want His way or your way? Which do you truly believe is best?

Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is YHWH’s will for you in Yashua.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
