Feb 25

Hello and thanks for joining in on to today’s daily devotion. Today is Thursday. February 25th. The 5th day of the Hebraic week.

Our verses today is 1 Thessalonians 5:16.

1 Th. 5:16
Be joyful always;

Short verse, right? Simple. To the point. But wow, can it be hard. I mean, think about it. Be joyful always. It’s easy to be joyful when things are going good, but this tells us to be joyful always. That means to be joyful when things are going bad. Right?

Now, to be clear, we don’t rejoice because things are going bad. We rejoice in spite the fact that things are going bad. Have you ever been driving and your in a hurry? Why does it seem THAT is when you get stuck in traffic or hit every red light possible? Now, remember, we’re supposed to rejoice.

Why is it hard to rejoice in moments like this? Because things aren’t going as you had planned. But, let us not forget what we went over not too long ago. Yeshua told us to pray “Your kingdom come, your will be done.” Now, if we prayed that, should we not walk in the faith that His will is being done?

Many times YHWH allows things happen in our life to get us to slow down. To get our attention back on Him.

He’s watching over us. He leading us. He hears us. Be joyful. Always.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until tomorrow, shalom!
